General Switchgear & Controls Ltd. is a privately owned
Canadian company formed in 1992 by acquiring the assets of PCG Switchgear
who manufactured switchgear for the industrial and utility markets since
1968. The product range has since then been upgraded to use modern materials and
the latest in engineering and manufacturing technology.
In September 1998, Pursley 2000, Power Apparatus
Division, a high voltage switch manufacturer joined General Switchgear under
common ownership. GS T&D Products Ltd. is a major supplier of leading edge
equipment to the Canadian Electrical Utilities as well as international

Caribbean, Asia and Africa.
