Welcome to General Switchgear & Controls Ltd. We are
manufacturer of quality custom-built switchgear for a wide variety of
applications for the local and international markets.
We are a privately owned Canadian Company formed in
June 1992 by acquiring PCG Switchgear who manufactured switchgear for the
industrial and utility markets since 1968. The product range has since
then
been up-graded to use modern materials and the latest in engineering and
manufacturing technology.
In November 1994 General Switchgear
and Controls Ltd. purchased Markham Electric. Markham Electric is a renowned
manufacturer of high voltage electrical equipment and has an impressive
international record.
Markham Electric has expanded our
product range to include switchgear rated up to 46kV, totally integrated low
profile outdoor pad-mounted substations (TLO), outdoor substation structures,
outdoor switchyards up to 500kV, instrument and power transformers.
